A detailed plan is based on the Planning Act. The aim of a detailed plan is the implementation of comprehensive planning and the creation of an integrated solution. The role of a detailed plan is to determine how to use one or more lots and on which conditions can there be a building on a lot. A detailed plan is compiled in cooperation with the local government and other interested parties. The time period from the start of compiling the detailed plan to the validation of the plan depends on the size of an area, location, administrative capacity of the local government and cooperation with other interested parties.
A digital, geodetic map with precision of 1:500 is required for compiling detailed plans.
